Macy Gray on Led Zeppelin, Nirvana and briefly stalking Lauryn Hill

My interview with notable stoner and weed entrepreneur Macy Gray was scheduled for the afternoon of 4/20, so I wasn't quite sure if it would actually happen. But it did, and it turns out that Macy doesn't really care for National Weed Day. Chatting to me from her home in Los Angeles, she was warm, relaxed and engaging – far from the chaotic personality that made her early interviews so fraught.

I'm really enjoying her upcoming album, The Reset. It's the first to be recorded with her new band project, The California Jet Club, and it feels purposeful in a way that has perhaps been lacking in her recent albums. Our conversation is published on The Line of Best Fit today!
