A swanderful day in Toronto (📷)

The harsh early afternoon sunlight eased into soft April greys as we made the short crossing from the city to the islands. The idea was to stay there until sunset to romance the skyline but too-light coats and our first Canadian chill had other plans. Shivering bodies and chattering teeth are not so idyllic, but the arrival of the swan gave us a fleeting fairytale moment beneath the redtwig shrub.
